Electronic Arts, a global leader in interactive entertainment, has entered into a global, multi-year partnership with Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments, in a move that signals a new phase in the evolution of sports sponsorship within interactive entertainment.

The agreement will see Visa integrated across the EA SPORTS ecosystem, blending commercial partnerships directly into gameplay.

Under the partnership, Visa will feature prominently across flagship titles, including EA Sports FC and EA Sports College Football. The collaboration introduces a suite of in-game activations such as branded challenges, live service events, and reward-based mechanics, designed to embed the payments brand within the player experience rather than around it.

A central pillar of the agreement is the introduction of brand-led experiences within career modes, particularly in EA Sports College Football. These include simulated endorsement opportunities inspired by real-world Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) frameworks, allowing players to engage with the commercial realities of modern sport while progressing through gameplay.

Beyond the digital environment, the partnership will extend into real-world activations at major sporting events. The agreement reflects a broader industry shift, as brands seek deeper, more measurable engagement with younger, digitally native audiences.
