HCLTech, a global IT services and technology company, has been appointed as the official digital experience partner of the DP World Tour, signing a multi-year agreement focused on delivering a large-scale digital transformation of the global golf circuit.
Under the partnership, HCLTech will lead the end-to-end redesign and development of the Tour’s digital ecosystem, including its website and mobile platforms. The objective is clear: build a more immersive, personalised, and data-driven fan experience that reflects the Tour’s global footprint across multiple markets and time zones.
At the core of the transformation is the integration of artificial intelligence and real-time data analytics. These technologies will enable dynamic content delivery tailored to individual user preferences, offering fans personalised access to live scoring, in-depth player statistics, and contextual highlights. The move is aimed at shifting golf’s traditionally passive viewing model towards a more interactive, user-centric digital experience.
Speaking about the partnership, Jill Kouri, Chief Marketing Officer, HCLTech, said, “We’re excited to partner with the DP World Tour – as both a client and a core marketing activation partner. On the client side, we’re excited to be involved in a digital transformation program that will make it easier for fans to discover, analyse, and share the moments that matter. From a partnership perspective, the collaboration further amplifies HCLTech’s global brand presence, expanding our reach to diverse international audiences, primarily in Europe.”
Michael Cole, Chief Technology Officer, DP World Tour, continued, “The DP World Tour has a truly global fan base, which demands a world-class digital ecosystem to engage fans seamlessly, week after week. As we continue to elevate our digital ambition, we selected HCLTech for its deep engineering heritage, proven expertise in building large-scale, always-on digital platforms and its ability to translate technology into meaningful fan experiences.”
Max Hamilton, Executive Commercial Director, DP World Tour, added, “Golf is traditionally the ‘sport of business,’ and the Tour’s global platform provides a targeted and flexible platform for HCLTech to showcase their innovation at scale and connect with audiences worldwide.”
Beyond technology delivery, HCLTech will also serve as an official marketing partner, gaining activation rights across five DP World Tour events each season, alongside on-site hospitality and digital integrations.
The agreement strengthens the Tour’s commercial portfolio, which includes partners such as SBK, Rolex, AWS, DP World, and Emirates NBD.
The first phase of the upgraded digital platforms is expected to roll out in the coming months, marking a significant step in the Tour’s strategy to enhance fan engagement and scale its global digital presence.
