The Indian sports streaming platform, FanCode, has acquired exclusive global broadcast rights for the SAFF Women’s Championship scheduled to be held in Margao, Goa, from May 25 to June 6.

The competition involves six South Asian teams, including the hosts India. India has been assigned to Group B, which includes Bangladesh and the Maldives, while Group A includes Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.

India has been one of the most successful teams in the SAFF Women’s Championship, winning five titles in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2019. The Blue Tigresses will be looking to reclaim the championship from Bangladesh, who are the incumbent champions and having won the previous two editions in 2022 and 2024.

The broadcast agreement is expected to boost FanCode’s Indian football portfolio, which includes the Indian Super League 2025-26, AFC men’s and women’s leagues, as well as friendlies involving the national team. Recently, the firm also agreed to broadcast Unity Cup 2026, which will be hosted in London, United Kingdom, from May 27 to May 31 (May 26-30 in the UK).

FanCode Co-founder Yannick Colaco, said, “Women’s football is experiencing a remarkable surge in passion across the country, and we at FanCode are deeply committed to being at the forefront of that journey. We have been proud to bring some of the biggest stages of the women’s game to our fans, from the FIFA Women’s World Cup to the Women’s Super League and the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The SAFF Women’s Championship is a natural addition to that portfolio, and we believe it will inspire millions of young fans and aspiring footballers across South Asia. “

SAFF General Secretary Purushottam Kattel, said, “We are thrilled to partner with FanCode for the broadcast of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2025. Having a dedicated platform with such deep reach across India and the subcontinent will ensure that our athletes get the visibility and recognition they truly deserve. This is a landmark moment for women’s football in South Asia, and we look forward to the tournament being celebrated by fans across the region and beyond.”
