IPL 2026 CSK vs LSG: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the 53rd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) tomorrow, May 10, 2026, at 3:30 PM, at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium.

The Super Kings come to Chepauk aiming for stability, as they presently have a five-win, five-loss record. Under the stable leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, CSK’s strategy has concentrated around its fearsome spin tandem of Noor Ahmad and Rahul Chahar, who flourish on Chennai’s slow tracks. The batting lineup has been strengthened by the high-profile arrival of Sanju Samson, who, together with the dependable Shivam Dube, offers the middle-order muscle required to win games. The squad will be aiming for a more disciplined performance from their pace battery, notably Khaleel Ahmed, to keep the LSG batters under control during the powerplay.

Following a convincing victory against Bengaluru, the Super Giants arrive in Chennai with plenty of momentum. Captain Rishabh Pant will be happy with the success of opener Mitchell Marsh, who recently scored a record-breaking 56-ball century, the quickest in the team’s history. LSG’s bowling attack has discovered a surprise hero in teenager Prince Yadav, who took three wickets against RCB and has emerged as the team’s X-factor. Despite lagging in the points table with only three wins, Lucknow has a psychological advantage over Chennai, leading 3-2 in head-to-head matches. LSG will employ their varied lineup, which includes Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran, to overrun the CSK spinners on their own soil.

Head-to-Head:

In their six meetings, LSG have three wins to CSK’s two, with one match resulting in a no result. While Lucknow leads the overall count, the rivalry has been impressively balanced at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, with a 1-1 tie. Chennai’s highest total in this match is 217/7, whereas Lucknow’s best performance remains their historic 213/4 chase at Chepauk in 2024, which was highlighted by Marcus Stoinis’ record-breaking 124*, the highest individual score in any IPL chase. As they prepare for tomorrow’s match, CSK will be hoping to build on their previous success and even the series.
