IPL 2026 RCB vs MI: Match preview, head-to-head and streaming details

In the blockbuster 52nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) tonight, May 10, at 7:30 PM at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Royal Challengers, led by Rajat Patidar, will attempt to reclaim their supremacy from earlier in the season, when they thrashed MI at the Wankhede. The batting remains their key weapon, with the legend Virat Kohli in top form, as well as the explosive Bethell and the consistent Devdutt Padikkal. While their “Bold” batting strategy has helped them to score massive totals, the bowling unit has been chastised for leaking runs at the end. RCB will rely on veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood‘s express speed to offer early breakthroughs on the Raipur surface, with Krunal Pandya entrusted with managing the middle overs against his former squad.

Mumbai Indians arrive in Raipur revitalised after a statement victory against Lucknow, which keeps their playoff aspirations mathematically alive. The management will be encouraged by the return of Rohit Sharma, whose recent half-century showed that he remains the ‘Hitman’ MI require at the top of the order. It will also be interesting to see who leads the unit tonight, as Hardik Pandya was already rested in the last game, while stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav and his wife welcomed a baby girl the day before yesterday. In these times, it seems like former skipper Rohit or Jasprit Bumrah will lead MI tonight. The five-time champions’ batting unit, led by South African emerging star Ryan Rickelton and inventive Tilak Varma, appears to be capable of dealing with Raipur’s tough boundaries. Robin Minz might also get a nod in the XI. The clinical Bumrah continues to lead the bowling department, while newcomer Raghu Sharma has emerged as the X-factor in the spinning department.

Head-to-Head:

Historically, the rivalry between the two teams has been one of the most renowned in IPL history, with MI having a tiny overall advantage of 19 victories to 16 in 35 games. Mumbai’s past supremacy was founded on a superior playoff record (3-1) and an unusual ability to outperform RCB even at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, but RCB’s 2025 title triumph and subsequent ability to break the “Wankhede Curse” have even the playing field. As they prepare for their maiden encounter in Raipur, both teams bring explosive records to the table, including RCB’s towering head-to-head high of 240 and MI’s persistent danger spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah, the fixture’s leading wicket-taker with 29 wickets.
