Red Bull taps KL Rahul for new fan-centric gaming activation

The post Red Bull taps KL Rahul for new fan-centric gaming activation appeared first on SportsMint Media.

Indian cricket star KL Rahul has partnered with Red Bull to launch “KLear It With KL”, a new digital fan engagement campaign aimed at blending gaming, competition and cricket fandom into an interactive online experience.

The activation revolves around a web-based skill game inspired by Rahul’s composed and calculated approach at the crease, with fans challenged to clear and match cricket-themed objects such as bats, gloves and balls within a 60-second time limit. Participants must strategically align three identical items while preventing the game tray from filling up, with leaderboard rankings determined by cumulative high scores.

As part of the campaign, the top-ranked player will earn an opportunity to meet Rahul, while the top 100 participants will receive signed merchandise from the Indian batter. The contest is open to Indian residents aged 18 and above and runs until May 23, 2026.

The campaign underlines Red Bull’s continued push towards immersive and gamified sports marketing strategies, as brands increasingly move beyond conventional endorsement deals to create deeper and more interactive fan relationships. By combining gaming mechanics with athlete-driven storytelling, the brand is positioning fan engagement as an entertainment product rather than a passive promotional exercise.

Rahul remains one of India’s most marketable cricket personalities and has maintained a long-standing association with Red Bull through multiple lifestyle, performance and youth-focused collaborations over the years.

The campaign also arrives during a significant phase in Rahul’s cricket calendar. The wicketkeeper-batter is currently representing Delhi Capitals in the ongoing Indian Premier League season, where he has already crossed the 500-run mark, including one century and four half-centuries. Delhi Capitals will conclude their league-stage campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders on May 24.

Following the IPL, Rahul is set to return to international duty with the India national cricket team as vice-captain of the Test side and one of the wicketkeeping options for the ODI series against Afghanistan in June.

The latest Red Bull activation further highlights the growing convergence of sport, gaming and digital culture, as athlete-led fan experiences continue becoming an increasingly important part of the modern sports marketing ecosystem.
